Please submit the form below according to the criteria and process as outlined.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important Dates and Process:<\/strong><br>\u2022 Submission deadline: 11:59 PM on March 31, 2026<br>\u2022 Awards presented at the 50th Annual Pittsburgh Chapter Sporting Gala on April 11, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>2025 PITTSBURGH CHAPTER SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The Pittsburgh Chapter Sportsman of the Year Award shall be presented to that candidate who most completely embodies the following criteria:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Is a current Pittsburgh chapter member in good standing\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Has submitted an entry or has been nominated by a fellow chapter member\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Has engaged in the Chapter\u2019s stated mission with enthusiasm and dedicated ample time, resources and services in pursuit of a greater overall experience for the membership<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Has diligently engaged in the lawful pursuit of and honorable kill of an animal(s) in a natural free range habitat<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Has established themselves as an ambassador for the core values of Safari Club and demonstrates the ability to collaborate with others to protect the right to hunt\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Conducts themselves with honor, integrity and the highest degree of ethics<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>2025 FUTURE LEADERS AWARD<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The Future Leaders Award shall be presented to the candidate between the ages of 8 and 17 (as of 12\/31\/25) who submits a written essay explaining actions taken which clearly demonstrate ANY of the following:&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>A significant accomplishment in the outdoors including, but not limited to:\u00a0<\/em><ul><li><em>Lawful and ethical harvest of an animal(s) in a natural, free-range habitat\u00a0<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Organizing or participating in a conservation project related to the establishment or restoration of a natural habitat \/ ecosystem that would promote the propagation of wild game species\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Engaging in a sportsmen\u2019s advocacy initiative\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Participated in any educational courses \/ workshops \/ programs \/ camps (in addition to Hunter Safety Education) to further their knowledge of wildlife \/ habitat conservation\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Dedicated time and effort to support a sponsored Safari Club or affiliate event\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Explains how their experiences have taught them valuable lessons, established or honed particular skills, enhanced their appreciation for outdoor ecosystems and\/or has inspired them to want to continue pursuing outdoor adventures\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Pittsburgh Chapter is focusing on two awards for 2025.
